Girly Living Room Ideas

Sure, modern-looking living rooms are great, and very spacious, but admittedly, we'd all prefer a cosier, more lived-in room, right?

So I just brought together some cute little lounge decor for the perfect, girly living area. Enjoy!

Candles and fairy lights can really lighten up a room - literally! They're so cosy! The only issue with candles is that there is a chance that they'll burn your house down... So why not try LED light candles, like this cute, Christmassy scented candles from Target?!

Fake flowers...Ahh...Well, if you've read my previous post today, you'll understand, hahaha.

Althought they may be high-maintenance, a white sofa can be really relaxing and make a room look a lot more airy and cool. I've paired this white couch with floral and white cushions from House Of Fraser. And when it's a chilly winter's day, settle down onto the sofa under a warm, pale pink throw.

I found this cute little Eiffel Tower light from lampsplus.com and I nearly died of excitement! It's so cute!

And finally, a little tip: Pale walls make a room feel much more spacious - but never turn down a feature wall!

Thanks for reading, I hope this helps/helped.

Fake flowers to spice up a room!

A few months ago, I bought this fake orchid from a jumble sale because I'd been disappointed with how all my previous flowers just die. And I love it! It's just as pretty as a real flower, but without all the watering!

I also bought this cute little cat (to add to my collection) a few years ago, and I always thought it was missing something, so I recently stuffed it with fake flowers. Pretty!

Feeling very creative today.

I haven't posted in forever, so I thought it might be nice just for you to see what I've been up to.

Do you want a tutorial on the facecloth cupcakes?

Halloween Costume Ideas!

Whether you're attending a Halloween Party, Trick-or-Treating, or just wanting to dress up this October, choosing the perfect costume can be difficult, verging on impossible! To help you make your mind up, I've gathered some really easy costume ideas. Enjoy!

Cat
The cat is certainly THE original (besides, of course, a skeleton or witch). It's super easy too! Just wear black, grab some cat ears, and using a black eyeliner, draw whiskers on your face. Meow!

Witch
Dressing as a witch is probably the easiest costume. You don't have to be an ugly old hag, you could make yourself look as pretty as you like! In fact, you don't even need a costume, as long as you have a wand, which you could easily make (or just pull a branch off a tree - it's up to you). Voila!

Vampire
If you're willing to go a little further with your costume, why not try a vampire? Using white facepaint (sprayed with some water to create a nice, cream base), make your exposed skin look very pale. You could also make your eyes Tim Burton-style panda eyes, and add red contacts. Wear some fangs, drip fake blood down your chin from your mouth, and dress all in black.

Little Red Riding Hood
This is a personal favourite! Make yourself look very innocent, carry a basket (this would be helpful if you're trick-or-treating!), and wear a hooded red cape. If you do not own a red cape, just tie some red material a around your neck. Ta da!

Scarecrow
Wear a long-sleeved plaid blouse, and a straw hat. Using facepaints and black eyeliner, draw a coloured, triangular patch on your nose. Use the eyeliner to make it look as if it has been stitched on. Draw "stitched" lines coming from the outer corners of your mouth with black eyeliner.

I hope you enjoyed reading this, and that it gave you some inspiration. Happy Halloween!

Apologies!

So, I finally got around to my sleep post! It took literally an hour to write and edit.

And then I clicked "publish", but...poof! My clumsy fingers accidentally cause me to "DISCARD POST".

Whoops.

So I will not be uploading a post on sleep until I am prepared and have a spare hour on my hands.

But I am expecting to continue posting!

My Favourite Place

Fall is such a cute time of year, and so I have retreated to our conservatory, where, of course, I can hear the rain, smell the fresh grass, and relax!

This room is a smaller version of how I would like my house to be when I move out - loads and loads of plants, glass windows, and plenty of bits and bobs that my mum thinks are pointless.

Great!

Of course, it does get cold - but that's the best part! I love snuggling up, under a blanket, with my cat, in pyjamas!

Here are a few photos I have taken in our conservatory:

Thanks for reading, I hope this wasn't too personal.

P.S. I'm planning on uploading my post about sleep tomorrow. See you then!

Sorry for not posting/Rain Noises

Ugh... I've been so caught up with homework, school and the holidays, that I forgot to post! Luckily, I can finally settle down in my room, drink coffee and listen to the rain - Even if it's not raining!

Did you know, that rain and thunder sounds can help you sleep? Or, when studying for an exam or doing homework, they can help you concentrate? Whilst scrolling down on my blog, play a "rain sounds" video on YouTube.

Unfortunately, I can't embed one here, but you can go there yourself :) Or, if it's raining, go and listen to some actual rain.

Thanks for reading!

P.S. I will be posting on getting to sleep very shortly - so stay tuned!

Welcome!

Well hello there! Welcome to my blog of daily dreams :)

I don't want to drone on for too long..So let's get straight into today's post!

I wanted to bring this picture to your attention:

If you follow the paintbrush with your eyes while not moving your head, it forces you to use emdr which is a therapeutic technique to calm anxiety/panic. Watching fish swim causes the same effect.
